Thank you for visiting our Internet web site. At present, our web site is still under construction. We are making an effort to present you with our entire spectrum of fine art photography as soon as possible. At this point we can provide you with only basic information. In the meantime you can contact us at our e-mail address: allen@allenthornton.org
To Allen Thornton, photography is an art form that allows him to express both his passion for the outdoors and his creative talents. Even after thirty-five years and thousands of hours in the field and in the dark room, Allen is even more driven than ever to capture nature's grandest images on film. Allen's writings and photography have appeared in many natural outdoor magazines. Although Allen's work includes many photographic categories, the vast majority of his portfolio remains focused on the outdoor landscapes, wildlife and his second passion, fly-fishing.
All of Allen's prints are created with UltraChrome ink on archival quality paper. Each Giclee Collector Edition print is numbered, signed and custom matted.
Thank you for your interest.

Artist Statement
As an outdoor photographer, I believe the appreciation and enjoyment of outdoor photography can lead to a respect and understanding of nature and in turn this can lead to conservation and protection of the natural world and the wildlife that lives within it. My goal as a photographer is to build on this belief with each new image. My images are not intended as historical records, but as constant reminders of what must be valued and protected today and into the future.
